Citizen Soundkeepers
Former staff member Derek Wentorf and Dave Manelski go for a kayak patrol on Lake Union

By motor boat, kayak, bicycle or even on foot, Citizen Soundkeepers are helping to protect Puget Sound from polluters. The Soundkeeper relies on the help of concerned citizens to alert us of pollution.

If you frequently travel near any waterway around the Sound, including inland lakes and rivers, You can help! With our help, so that you know exactly what to look for, you can help prevent pollution in your neighborhood. Bicycle commuters and joggers/walkers, it's easy to keep you eyes peeled for pollution if you know where to look. For more details you can contact Puget Soundkeeper Alliance at (206) 297-7002, email us at volunteer@pugetsoundkeeper.org, or check our Calendar for upcoming volunteer trainings.

Patrol Updates will be posted in News & Events, check back with us to find out what's going on in your neighborhood. Remember, the more Citizen Soundkeepers we have out there, the more comprehensive our updates will be. Some Citizen Soundkeepers may be interested in becoming a steward for their neighborhood. These neighborhood stewards would have weekly feature columns on our Patrol Update page, providing a valuable resource for our community and helping to preserve beautiful Puget Sound. If you are interested in becoming a neighborhood steward contact us
