International Coastal Cleanup – September

Seattle Academy students with trash collected at Golden Gardens.

The International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) is an annual cleanup project coordinated globally by the Ocean Conservancy.  Puget Soundkeeper acts as a regional coordinator helping to organize and support cleanup efforts throughout the Puget Sound area. At each cleanup, every piece of trash is cataloged and added to a “Global Trash Index”. In our region alone, hundreds of volunteers participate and collect thousands of pounds of debris. If you are interested in conducting a cleanup near you in September or October, contact Kathryn for support. If you are a business, consider sponsoring this regional cleanup effort.

Cause Related Marketing Partnerships

We are always looking for partners where a relationship can benefit both companies.  Currently we are in a partnership with Pike Brewing Company where we receive a percentage of the sale from premium Soundkeeper Ale beers, several times per year.

We also have a strong partnership with the Patagonia Seattle store.  In 2013, Puget Soundkeeper received a percentage of the bag fee for all sales in their store.patagonia-logo
