Katie Kolarich, Program Coordinator

She has been interested in water quality ever since her parents told her she wasn't allowed to swim in the upper Mississippi River with her friends because it was so polluted she could get sick. Katie brings experience in lobbying, consulting, grant writing and contract management on natural resource issues. She is currently completing her degree from Lewis & Clark Law School where she's focused on environmental and natural resources law . While in law school, Katie has served as co-chairperson of the National Association of Environmental Law Societies (NAELS) and coordinator for the 2004 NAELS Conference on public lands law and management. She has worked as a neurochemistry research assistant at the University of Oregon Medical School and was controller for a family business. Three kids and forty years later she has come full circle back to water.
